The iComp team is taking a summer break during the first two weeks of August. No shipments will be sent out between August 3rd and August 17th. Orders placed during our break will be shipped starting August 18th.

Job @iComp: We urgently need reinforcements in the workshop! We aren't looking for a (retro) computer expert, but rather someone with good manual skills—someone who can, for example, help our shipping specialist Gaby pick and pack orders, is willing to learn the tricks of the trade regarding SMD soldering under a microscope from our model-making expert Wolfgang, or might even want to operate our CNC milling machine, "Gloria". The first software update for the Buddha Plus One does not contain any bug fixes. This is because we have received no reports of serious errors after nearly three years. Instead, this free update adds two major features: 1) booting from CD and 2) automatic mounting of FAT-formatted media. On July 5th, 2026, our long-standing employee and workshop manager, Andreas, passed away unexpectedly following a brief illness. During his more than 17 years with iComp, he was the man behind many of the mechanical solutions for our products, and some customers met him at trade fairs. He leaves behind a significant void—not only at iComp but also in the lives of his family, with whom we remain in contact.

We ask for your understanding regarding any potential delays that may arise in the coming weeks, particularly concerning the processing of returns.

In February 2025, US president Trump announced tariffs against the EU and many other countries. On July 27th, 2025, a "Deal" was made with the EU to lower these tariffs to 15% for most goods, including computer accessories like our products.

At the end of August 2025, the De-Minimis regulation has been stopped. This regulation allowed customers to import goods worth up to 800 USD free of any tariffs. Since then, we've been trying to ship goods to the US that are only charged the agreed 15% tariffs, but so far, it only resulted in huge losses. If we ship with UPS, they assume that the contents are made from steel or aluminium from China, and charge 200% tariff. DHL Express is similarly absurd: They assume that the contents are completely made of steel, aluminium or copper and charge 50% tariff (the EU-rate for those metals). This is done despite proper electronic declaration of our goods with the 10-digit US customs codes.

As a result, many customers refuse to accept these charges and we end up having to pay for the return shipment as well. Customers are fully refunded via PayPal. The losses that have been adding up over the past three months are too big to justify more shipping attempts to the USA. We can therefore only offer shipping to the US via forwarding services if the payment is done with wire transfer.

Merry Christmas from the team at iComp GmbH! We've already sent out the updated archives of P96 yesterday evening to all customers that are still int he free update phase. Version 3.6.2 offers new drivers for Indivision ECS V4, Matrox-, S3-based, and RageXL PCI cards.

Owners of an ACA1240/1260 can find new core files in our Wiki, that restore 40MHz operation of 68040 CPUs. Further, proper function with the X-Surf-500 on an ACA500plus has been fixed. The update can be flashed with ACA1260tool.

On December 29th and 30th, 2025, we will ship normally. During the first week of January, we're taking a few days off and ship the first parcels of 2026 on Janaury 7th.

The new version 3.6.0 of the Amiga-RTG system P96 contains new drivers for Matrox cards (thanks to Tim Schattkowski!), Radeon R200 cards by ATI, and the budget version of RageXL cards with 32-bit memory interface, which are available for an affordable price.

The driver for the RTG mode of Indivision ECS V4 now uses the blitter for practically every OS-based graphics function. The Blitter is a major upgrade to the feature set of Indivision ECS V4: In addition to it's main function "flicker fixer", there's now "graphics card", and it's performance can be compared to Z2 cards from the 1990s. Due to continued database problems with this shop system, the new version of P96 will be delivered through eMail.

There will be no shipments during our summer holidays between August 4th and August 15th. Shipping on August 1st is only possible for a limited product range, as many products will already be in a different storage location. We've been delivering the ACA1240/1260 accelerators to existing customers since early February of this year. Even though the card doesn't have all of it's planned features yet, it has quickly become popular in the Amiga community. In speed comparisons, it even beats competitors that are running at higher frequencies.

Just like in previous years, we're supporting this year's Revision Demoparty in Saarbrücken, Germany. The AGA/060 demo competition will be shown on an ACA1260 with 100MHz, because it's unparalleled bandwidth to chip ram is highly beneficial for games and demos.

Starting today, the ACA1240/1260 can be ordered by anyone who is logged into this shop. Please understand that we have to limit sales of the rare processor versions to one unit per customer. This is only possible with a login, as guest orders can't be linked with any other guest order. In the past years, production and start of sales of the ACA1240/1260 had to be delayed again and again. Last week, we've finally started taking pre-orders for this new accelerator. Not all features of the card are fully developed yet, which is why each variant of the card is currently offered at a discount of 59.50 EUR (incl. 19% VAT). When these features are available, they can be added to the card free of charge by doing a simple flash update.

The ACA1240/1260 is available with different processor versions and speeds of up to 100MHz. It's always equipped with 256MBytes of memory. An elaborate cooling system with temperature-controlled fan makes sure that the CPU stays cool even when it's overclocked. All technical details have already been published on late October of 2024 in our support forum.

The Amiga market has seen a lot of so-called "scalping" in the past years: Some people only bought rare hardware to make a quick profit. The items were bought, only to offer them at insanely high prices when the products were officially sold out. To keep this from happening, we're only offering the ACA1240/1260 to existing customers during the first months. If you want to see and order the ACA1240/1260 in our shop, please make a member account and send us an eMail, so we can approve your account for this accelerator. If you have bought your iComp gear from resellers before, please send us the warranty IDs of those products in your eMail - this is enough to count as "existing customer".

The new version V3.4.1 contains new drivers for the GBA-PII++ and VA2000 cards, and it makes installation on UAE a lot easier. Further, the driver for the A2410 "Tiga" card has been updated and overlays for the Picasso IV card have been fixed. Support for the Altais card for Draco machines has been improved, and P96Prefs also got an update.

Unfortunately, this current shop system has been giving us a hard time lately, with lots of problems during the order process, and even more problems when we tried to update the downloadable files. In order not to delay the release of this version any longer, we kindly ask all customers to be patient, as we're rolling out this version via eMail.
